… on Saving Color for the Web

Posted By Josh Dillon

color-shift-grid

This is by far and large the handiest damn article I’ve ever read on saving for web in photoshop. This correctly aligns ICC Profile expectations with in-browser color handling in Safari and FF 3.5. This is a must read article for those of you in the web design or multimedia design fields.

The post (in all it’s glory) can be found over at Viget Labs.

teemagnet.com

You can file this under “stuff you wish you had thought of first.”

Teemagnet.com is a daily shirt site aggregator which combines the best one-day-shirt sites into a central location. In addition to displaying the image of the daily shirt it also tells you handy information, like where to buy, cost and how much time is left. Also, as a handy little guide they also have incorporated a shirt blog, as well as links to some great shirt sites.

Click on the header image of the site for a special treat. Don’t be surprised if it slowly drives you insane, however. It’s strangely addictive.

Client Services; an explanation

Posted By Alupa Creative
08.19.2009

In an effort to be a little more explanatory and a little less esoteric about what we do we’ve added a list and description of our client services suites. Don’t  worry, we’re not going to get all serious on you or anything…

This newly launched section of our site not only sets the framework for future transmissions regarding all of these ideas, but also acts as an information station, where current clients and prospective clients can go to assess their needs and create a wishlist for future partnerships with Alupa Creative.

We look forward to discussing these and other fascinating services with our viewing audience in the near future.

In the meantime, we are also working on our flash portfolio, but since we’re designers we’ve gone through several versions, as we’re sure you can imagine. It’s what we do. It’s strange, but we know exactly which steps to take to represent your business and build a brand around your message, but for some reason (even though we live our message daily) putting things together for our own company can be kind of a strain.

It just goes to show that sometimes the hardest person to please is yourself.

AC_updates_post

As our site evolves we will be adding, tweaking and streamlining our web presentation and functionality to maximize this site’s user experience.

Our emphasis will always be on clear, straight-forward communication, (because that’s really what the communication arts are all about) but we would like to continue to put a nice presentational icing on our digital cake.

KCW-MAY-2009

Killian’s Commercial Workshop is a learning series which focuses on teaching actors everything they need to become successful in the highly competitive world of commercial acting.

The growth of Killian’s Commercial Workshop over the last few years prompted the need for an updated web presence which targets a new, web-savvy clientele. This redesign addresses recent changes in technologies, design trends and Killian’s key demographics.
